iCrowdNewswire is currently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer.
- As a member of the growing team you will work with experienced software engineers to maintain & improve cloud-hosted modern web and mobile applications.
- This position will support full lifecycle development from requirements analysis to operational deployment & maintenance as a part of an agile interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- The building, testing, and administering AWS environments to support development, test, and production workloads.
- Analyze current technological setup and develop processes to improve and expand upon them.
- Assist other engineers and/or development teams as per requirement.
- Creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team.
- Monitoring environments health and identifying thresholds for scaling.
- Developing and automating repeatable tasks.
- Asses security policies to identify and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
- Provides mitigation strategies for system security flaws or vulnerabilities.
- Managing development teams’ CI/CD pipelines to include support of test automation.
- Mentor and train others throughout the company, as & when required, and seek to continually improve processes company wide.
- Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in the field of software engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in working with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of departmental goals.
- 2+ years of professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications.
- 3+ years performing systems administration duties including operating systems patching, audit log management, backup and recovery, SSL certificates management, and server installations.
- 2+ years managing and operating in Linux/Windows operating systems, Shell Scripting, etc.
- 2+ years of experience managing AWS/Cloud flare environments.
- 1+ years of experience in CI/CD tools such as GitLab, or Jenkins
- 1+ years of experience with Java and Maven/JavaScript, Node.js, Python
